Background
iNi Cinemas is one of Nepal’s leading premium multiplex chains, known for delivering state-of-the-art cinematic experiences. Since opening its first location in 2019, the brand has expanded to 4 strategic locations across the country, boasting a total of 8 screens and 1,576 seats as of June 2025.
The flagship addition, iNi Cinemas – NB Center, is located in New Baneshwor, Kathmandu — a bustling commercial and residential hub. The venue features two auditoriums, both equipped with the latest cinema technologies, including Nepal’s first GDC DTS:X for IAB immersive audio system. Its impressive ambiance, luxurious seating, and cutting-edge projection and sound systems have set a new benchmark for the country’s multiplex industry. This advancement has even caught the attention of other exhibitors, who are now exploring the adoption of similar systems.
Challenges

The chosen solution includes SR-1000 Standalone Integrated Media Block (IMB) built-in 4K, 2TB CineCache™ solid-state storage, and DTS:X for IAB rendering, along with the Espedeo™ premium digital-to-analog audio converter.
