CineEurope 2026 Recap: Why PLF and HDR Are Defining the Next Generation of Cinema
CineEurope 2026 reinforced a clear industry direction: Premium Large Format (PLF), LED cinema and High Dynamic Range (HDR) are becoming key drivers of the next generation of theatrical exhibition. Across discussions with leading studios, exhibitors, and technology partners, the focus centered on delivering more immersive and enhanced presentation that encourage audiences to return to theatres.
Throughout the event, GDC welcomed exhibitors and partners to Suite MR131 in Barcelona. Visitors experienced how GDC’s integrated ecosystem helps exhibitors deliver premium presentation, immersive audio, and operational flexibility aligned with the industry’s evolving priorities.
