Lotte Cinema in Korea Selects GDC’s Ultra-reliable Media Server to Replace Legacy Models

HONG KONG, November 29, 2023 — GDC Technology Limited, a leading global provider of digital cinema solutions, announced today Lotte Cinemas selected GDC’s pioneering IMB technology to replace 75 legacy media servers. The replacement involves the deployment of the SR-1000 Standalone Integrated Media Block and GDC’s Enterprise Storage at 10 screens and the S1 Kit Plus at 65 screens. The S1 Kit Plus with SR-1000 is the only future-proof, ultra-reliable cinema media server for DLP Cinema Series 1 projectors and upgradable to Series 2, 3 or 4 projectors when needed.  

The new SR-1000 IMB’s were deployed at 30 Lotte Cinema sites in 20 cities in Korea. The deployment was managed by RNR, Inc., a Korean cinema technology integrator that specializes in engineering in the video/sound field and is an official certified dealer of leading global video/sound specialists while supplying advanced products to the Korean and foreign markets.

Lotte Cinema was founded in 1999 with the concept of opening a new entertainment era.
