Hong Kong, July 23, 2020 — GDC Technology Limited (‘GDC’), a leading global provider of digital cinema solutions, announced today that the collaboration with DTS, Inc. to deliver a DTS:XTM IAB solution is on schedule.  The solution is designed to fully support SMPTE’s immersive audio bitstream (IAB)  standard ST 2098-2.  As part of the process to rollout IAB, GDC and DTS jointly demonstrated the DTS:X IAB cinema solution to Hollywood studios and industry stakeholders in February 2020 in Los Angeles.  This month, GDC correctly rendered full-length motion picture content mixed in the current immersive sound formats with its IAB solution in a theatre auditorium.
