GDC Technology Attains Cinema Buying Group Authorized Vendor Status

SHOWEAST, USA (Oct 14, 2008) – GDC Technology (“GDC”) is pleased to announce that it has been awarded authorized vendor status by Cinema Buying Group (CBG), a buying program for independent theaters administered by the National Association of Theatre Owners (NATO).

CBG has over 600 members made up of small to medium-sized independent theaters representing over 8000 (~20%) screens in North America. Recognizing the significant collective buying power of CBG, GDC now has made available our product information on the websites of both CBG and Cinema Solutions, a service provider of CBG. Cinema Solutions’ online ordering portal allows members to procure products directly from GDC and other vendors.

“CBG is committed to bringing the best digital cinema products possible to our members,” Wayne Anderson, CBG Managing Director. “GDC products are known for their quality, cost-effectiveness, and reliability as demonstrated throughout their over 500 screens in Asia; we want our members to benefit from GDC’s experience.”

“We are delighted to be awarded the authorized vendor status from CBG especially at a time when GDC is fast expanding its presence in the North America market,” said Dr. Man-Nang CHONG, founder and CEO of GDC Technology. “This will go a long way in creating brand awareness for GDC products among CBG members and I hope this will eventually translate into large-scale deployment in the North American market.”
